Nice place on a dry day
Lots of parking. 10 per car. Good toilets (with baby changing and emergency nappys!) Small shop and cafe close by. Great place to park to go for the valley walk.
Peaceful full on family day. Amazing views
The car park itself is a little pricey at 10 a car but there's plenty of room and the money does go towards the upkeep of the Abbey. The beautiful scenery helps make it worth it though.
Could not fault the car park which was excellent value, we also really enjoyed the walk up the river to "The Strid". Footpaths are solid, clearly marked and well maintained. The only blemish on an otherwise perfect day was the group of people with huge speakers blasting out around their bar b ques ruining the day for everyone. I believe that the wardens should of dealt with this for the sake of everyone else. Tickets are clearly marked, no loud music!
