Unmanned station with no ticket machine or information updates regarding trains is the only drawback - it is clear to which platform you need for travelling - there is a timetable on a poster - it is a pleasant station and easily accessible if you are doing the Pennine Way, but it is a 5 minute walk to the town, it is remote
No ticket machine, no ticket booth. Conductor on the train decided that he would not offer me a ticket and instead continued to explain that I was expected to pay a fine yet there was no option or opportunity for me to purchase a ticket.
A Lovely railway station on the Little North Western Railway. Steam trains pass through regularly.
A platform number or a sign advising of which side to wait at would be great help.
