I live around there. Summer time..great for picnics. Really lovely views of the dales. Swimming baths skateboard park, swings tennis courts mini golf...great walks...yeah go! especially on a hot summers day. Plenty of old trees dotted about with ample seats in the shade.
A great big very clean park and so much for the kids to do definitely visit
Well kept park, with a free 5k Parkrun every Saturday at 9am.
Yes, it's green and peaceful, and it's nice to be able to get outside, but it's really disappointing for wheelchair users. There is a long path running through, where a loop would be really nice to go for a proper stroll with family, rather than going up the path and back again: if it weren't for the dry weather we've had recently, all wheelchair users would have was one path for the whole park, which seems unnecessarily little, given the size of the place.
Lovely big park with play equipment at one end picnic benches and a really big space to play all sorts of games. Very clean. Leisure centre and pool BMX and skateboard track at top end of park
