Love gordale scar for it's walks and beauty. Have been lucky enough to get to camp out at gordale on a few occasions... waking up to those views.... breathtaking. Kids of all ages will love it. Great to get them away outdoors and away from technology.. Not often you can get a mobile signal there. Locely stream that runs through the site.. and waterfall at the scar. Toilets/shower room leave a lot to be desired but are clean. Be it a few cob webs dust etc. It's basic camping nothing glam but does me and the views make up for it. Site owner is pleasant enough quite a character is Malcolm with an obsession for recycling. Disposable bbqs are allowed but must be place on bricks/stones NO camp fires either
Gordale campsite.been here for many years. Gordale VALLEY beautiful with scree slopes. An Ice age waterfalls.TALL Limestone Cliffs. Footpath is up and over the Falls. To Malham Tarn.
Loved the site but it's very back to basics. Kids loved catching fish in the steam & owner is a real character
Love this site! The stream running through it is beautiful (saw a hedgehog swimming in it at 2am!!) and a great hill to climb right next to it
We really loved our time here, it's the next best thing to wild camping such an amazing place. Credit to the Farmer for preserving it's natural beauty "we salute you".This Site is certainly worth putting on your To-Visit List.
